If you have not checked out Groupon, go here for all of the details.  Basically, they offer coupons everyday for items/stores/goods in certain cities around the US.  You can then purchase the coupon, print it, and use.

Today's Groupon deal for Hampton Roads, Virginia, is to buy a coupon worth $10 and get $25 worth of items from drugstore.com.   Yep.  Spend $10 get $15 free!  The coupon is for online use and I would suggest that you read the fine print before purchasing anything.  However, that said, I do not see any type of location requirements.  And, to sweeten the deal, if you are a new customer, you get free shipping on purchases of $25 or more!

**HOT** Deal on Shoes!

The Discovery Store, located near Montano's is having a 50% sale on all shoes during the holiday weekend.  The regular price of the shoes are either $10 or $6 so the incredible shoes that they have are either $5 or $3 each.  I snagged three beautiful pairs of sandals there tonight for $11 total!

Now, please keep in mind that this is a second hand store.  Selection will vary and although there is a really (really, super duper) nice selection of shoes, you may go in and find, well, nothing.  But, this store also sales household items and men and womens clothing.  Part of the proceeds go to cancer research.

So, go check it out!

Crystal Light Coupons!

You can go here on Facebook and print some really nice coupons for Crystal Light.  I love Crystal Light, Raspberry Lemonade is my favorite (F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E).  My Walmart has a display up front on the grocery side with CL on sale for $1.97 a box.  Using these coupons will make the price for each box 97 cents-a general savings of at least $2 a box. 

FYI...the type of coupon offered by Coupons.com can be printed twice per computer.  Simply hit the back button on your computer and print again!

There is also a way to save EVEN more per box by heading over to Target and snagging this deal posted by Money Saving Mom....

Free Chik-fil-a Spicy Chicken Sandwich-Hurry!

Have you heard about this awesome site?  It is called Groupon.  It is a site that list awesome daily deals for businesses in cities all over the USA.  You purchase the coupon that is being offered for the business/item and then you have typically several months to use it.  What an awesome idea for traveling this summer!

Heading to Disney?  Check for coupons to local restaurants/attractions.
Heading to Va Beach?  Today you can get a Groupon to a local Putt-putt golf course
Heading to Chicago?  Today you can purchase Rooftop club tickets to a selection of Cubs games.  Wow!
Heading to anywhere?  Check out Groupon for the daily deal and possibly save alot!

The Cheaper Chicken....

Does anyone remember that scene from Father of the Bride?  Anyway...I wanted to share with you a way to buy chicken cheaply.

Last night I had to run into Kroger late.  Ok, I didn't have to run, I wanted to go to the store at 8pm to buy some milk and other things that I couldn't live without.  I also wanted  needed a few minutes to myself.  I love Krogering for that reason.

I was getting ready to leave when I went past the rotisserie chicken stand.  The packages were marked down to $2.99 from $5.99.  These chickens come in handy for so many recipes!  They can be pulled apart and frozen for future recipes and the best thing is that the meat is already seasoned!  I was able to get about 3 cups of meat from one chicken.

I made my hubby chicken salad for lunch and will be able to make two chicken potpies (using chicken from another rotisserie chicken also) and freeze them for a later date.  The meat could also be used to make BBQ chicken sandwiches, enchiladas, tacos, and/or soups.

The cheaper the chicken, the better!

Baskin Robbins 31 cent night!

Tonight starting at 5 pm and running until 10 pm Baskin Robbins is holding their 31 cent scoop night!  For more information and to find a store near you, go here.
