What do you do Wednesday - On Blog Ettiquete

Ok, so I need some advice. Although I am not "new" at blogging, I am still unsure of some of the etiquette that goes along with it. So...

What do you do when you leave a comment on someone's blog that has comment moderation enabled and your comment is never posted and this happens more than once on the same blog? Do you contact the person by email and say "what's up?" Do you just stop leaving comments and just visit? Do you stop visiting?

Now, just so you know, when I say that I have left a comment, it has not been rude, unkind, mean, malicious, or in any other way something that you would not want to have posted under your blog. Just simply a "...wow, I know what you mean," or "...that's too funny," or a thought or ponder on something that is said.

What do you do?

What do you do Wednesday - On Homemade Baby Food

I have two children who no longer eat baby food. They have all of their chompers and insist on eating foods that do not look or feel like they are pureed. Unless it is yogurt or icecream that is. However, I do have a seven month old at home who has just started the baby food world.

With my two oldest I never thought or even tried to make homemade baby food. Why should I bother, I thought. Walmart and Kroger have such great selections and it really wasn't that expensive. Well, Walmart and Kroger still have great selections but I want to dive in to the world of making my own.

Why? I did it once and felt such a feeling of accomplishment. There was something special about knowing that I had made the food that she was eating.

My Problem? I have made apples and carrots.

Help...do you have any ideas on other things to make? I would appreciate any comments that you might have!

What do you do Wednesdays - Unconventional Toys

This is a new post that I will start doing on Wednesdays address some common everyday Mommy issues. Why? Because in this adventure of being a Mommy, there are so many things that just seem to big for me to tackle. I am always searching for new ways to look at things, try new ideas, or just get plain old good advice.

If you would like to join me, please post about the same problem/issue/helpful advice that is on topic for the day. Put a link to my blog inside that post (please be nice and tell where you got the idea and it will also allow others to come here and do the same). Then, come back here and leave a comment. I will then put a link to your blog inside my post. If you are not a blogger, leave a comment with your thoughts. I hope to have Mr. Linky up soon!

Today's Question:

What Unconventional Toys do you have for your Baby/Toddler?

As a mom of three, my house has more than it's fair share of toys. The favorite of my seven month old? A set of measuring spoons. Yep, an inexpensive set of plastic measuring spoons bring so much joy! They provide an interesting sound when shaken, are easy for her little hands to grasp and hold on to, and they are great for chewing on. And, they are so easy to clean, just toss in the dishwater each evening, unlike the cloth toys that contain rattles which can hold germs for a long time.

If you decide to treat your little one to a set of spoons, be sure to get plastic ones that are on a solid ring to hold them all together. Also, look for ones that might have texture and bright colors on them for an added bonus. My set have a little rubber section on them.

What do you do Wednesday? On Temper Tantrums

Today's Question:

What advice do you have on trying to stop a temper tantrum before it starts?

Here's my thought:
If the tantrum comes because my baby has been told "no", I try to have a "yes" to offer first.
Ex: If my child is hungry and wants a sugary snack I might say "You may have an apple now and we will have ________ later. Alot of times my children lose it as soon as I say no. If that is not the first word out of my mouth, the tantrum doesn't come.

What do you do?
